Although I’m not a big fan, I do respect the message that he is sending here: Do something you care about and hustle.
While watching this video this primary question came up that I noticed. Reflect on this:
What do you want to do?
In my opinion, it is worthwhile to know what you want to do. It may or may not be what you are doing now, but at least you know that. I’ve learned that I’m the type of person that has to carry about the things I’m doing. That’s probably why I’m a teacher.
The reality check is that I get to do what I want to do by working. Sometimes the work I do doesn’t match what I want to do. Gary V said that you have to position yourself to be able to build your brand equity.
Building an online business is my way of positioning myself to live the way I want. One day I would like to have the choice not to “have to” go into work. I will be able to teach when I want to, because I want to.
Who do you care about?
I have a special place in my heart for those who help people succeed. Teachers, coaches, trainers, therapists, consultants….
