7 Reasons why you should book yourself a ticket to Honolulu now

“We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us” ~ Some unknown guy (probably still traveling)

ALOHA!

I haven’t written on the blog for over a week. That’s a HUGE gap in time. I know. I have a good reason.

I was in Hawaii.

As a company benefit I spent 5 days in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Thanks to the almighty for the gift.
Being from the east coast, I know that many don’t get the chance to actually make it to Hawaii. Therefore, I’m sharing 7 Reasons to Book Yourself a ticket to Hawaii Soon. Hope you enjoy it.

Reasons to go to Honolulu

No visa required
traveling around the world has made me aware of certain visa requirements. I have visions of retiring in Bali or setting up a station in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Then again, why not just go to Hawaii? As a US citizen I don’t need to worry about visas.

Fresh Air
The pacific ocean crosswinds keep the air fresh in Hawaii

Noni Juice
A fruit originating from Tahiti if I remember correctly. There have been countless studies of the health benefits related to this fruit. It’s not an easy snack to eat. The fruit tastes horrible, like mix of Chinese Baijiu and touch of athlete’s foot. However, everyone I talked to said that it is amazing for health. I’m giving it a try for 30 days.

Pineapples
This is the mainland for Dole pineapples. They are plentiful and delicious. Come to the source.

Low sales tax
The sales tax rate in Hawaii is less than 5%. You can buy your iPhone 6 plus at a really good price while catching some sun rays.

Relaxed pace of life
I spoke with two beautiful young ladies who were from another hawaiian island and they said honolulu was a little fast paced for them. WHAT!?! The pace of life in honolulu is extremely relaxed ( I won’t say slow) compared to Shanghai. Aloha Fridays and 3pm closing times. Would that equal work life balance for you?

Beautiful beaches
I’m not a beach person. Hawaii made me realize how enjoyable the beach experience could be. I think it may have to do with the fact that I came from a blustery cold place, but I’ll take it as a reason.

travel to embrace life, not escape it

  1. My reason is that it has an amazing Marathon in Hawaii every year which has no time limit. You can practice Marathon even you need 10 hours to complete it as a beginner. 🙂
